Sam Hanna’s Delaware KIDS Fund
Formerly known as the Delaware KIDS Fund, Sam’s KIDS was renamed in November 2023 in memory of Samuel J. Hanna. Originally established in 2009 by Harvey, Hanna & Associates Inc., the nonprofit’s goal is to provide goods and services for at-risk families and children in distressing circumstances.
Sam’s KIDS brings financial support to families to help bring safety and stability to those who need it most. Some of the things that Sam’s KIDS does to help children include:
- Collecting coats for over 12,000 children with Operation Warm
- Serving over 430,000 meals to families in need with food pantries
- Assisting children in grades K-12 with educational grants and scholarships
- Providing animal therapy and education with Sam’s Ranch
- Contributing additional support for students with disabilities and special needs
The organizers and volunteers of Sam’s KIDS honor Sam’s story by exemplifying generosity and community connection, and they hope to inspire children to adopt the kindness, love, and compassion for others that made Sam so special to everyone around him.
