Life Science Unit 6: Body Systems
This is the sixth unit of the Life Science course for middle school students. It focuses on human body systems and includes 6 lessons:
- Nervous System
- Respiratory System
- Circulatory System
- Musculoskeletal System
- Digestive System
- Body Systems Wrap-Up
In these lessons, students will learn about the main systems within their own body, as well as how to keep them healthy.
Unit Overview: Body Systems
This unit is designed to deepen student understanding of body systems.
Throughout this unit, students will learn how cells work together to create body systems. Additionally, they will learn about the structure and function of human body systems, including how to care for them.
Lesson 1: Nervous System
In this lesson, students will learn about the structure and function of the nervous system. They will also learn how to keep this body system healthy.
Lesson 2: Respiratory System
In this lesson, students will learn about the structure and function of the respiratory system. They will also learn how to keep this body system healthy.
Lesson 3: Circulatory System
In this lesson, students will learn about the structure and function of the circulatory system. They will also learn how to keep this body system healthy.
Lesson 4: Musculoskeletal System
In this lesson, students will learn about the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system. They will also learn how to keep this body system healthy.
Lesson 5: Digestive System
In this lesson, students will learn about the structure and function of the digestive system. They will also learn how to keep this body system healthy.
Lesson 6: Body Systems Wrap-Up
In this lesson, students will learn about the structure and function of various body systems. This includes the integumentary system, the immune system, the endocrine system, and the excretory system. They will also learn how to keep these body systems healthy.
Unit 7: Ecology
The final unit in Life Science, Ecology, deepens student understanding of how living things are all connected to each other.
